some random things i'm loving right now (circa 2020)
ti-ora tea
this tea from new zealand has started showing up in my local grocery store - i tried a few flavors and i can highly recommend it - i've been using it to make iced tea and it has been keeping me cool all summer
argon-8 synthesizer
i've been using this on-and-off for a few months and it is an incredible synthesizer - it has support for wavetables and a wide variety of effects (great chorus and delays) - it makes smooth, luscious pads as well as aggressive angry leads - a truly versatile synth. check out loopop's review for some sounds.
memory police by yoko ogawa
Highly recommend this book, and I will love this cover so much.
A meditation on a society where the powers to be have the ability to remove the memory of ideas and things from collective memory.
artvee
Gorgeous vintage posters, and all free to use - check out the complete collection over on
Artvee (they have a lot of other breautiful art on there too)
portrait of a lady on fire
i saw this movie entirely too late and it shot up to one of my top 5 films of all time - don't ask questions, just watch it, and thank me later
world funk
turkey, india, ethiopia, germany - think of a country and they have a rich heritage of local funk music.
